Lenders' Conferences
Each year, we invite bankers and lending specialists that work directly with farmers to attend the Lenders' Conference in their area hosted by The Department of Agricultural Economics Extension Team. The conference series typically includes several locations across the state. The overall goal is to inform lenders of key changes or issues in the current and forthcoming year(s) and how these may affect their clients. Each conference typically covers four main areas: general farm economy, grain profitability and outlook, livestock profitability and outlook, and a review of farm financials and profitability from our KFBM specialists. In addition, key hot topics (e.g. hemp a few years ago) are also presented as need and interest dictate.
Lenders interested in attending are welcome to reach out to your region's KFBM specialist for dates and locations.

Economic Subject Matter (ESM) Agent Trainings
Every winter, Extension faculty and staff conduct an all-day in-service training for county agriculture and natural resources (ANR) agents across the state. To reach as many county agents as possible, we have the in-service training at three different locations across the state (Western, South Central, and Central) on three separate days. The purpose of the ESM trainings is to educate county agents on current economic issues and highlight new publications/tools that are available to them as they assist their clientele in the coming year.
